Sometimes I just want to wrap myself up in music and live in it forever. This is one of those times. Tonight's set was epic epicness and then some. There was flow and energy and aweseomeness abound. From Honolulu to the world at large, many mahalos to everyone who tuned in.

KTUH 90.3 FM Playlist for 12/16/11

Show went reasonably well this week. Music was just right and carried a consistent vibe, or so I thought anyway. Good music is proof that the gods love us and want us to be happy.

I hate probability

Events A and B are independent. P(A) = P(B) = 1/4. What is P(A ∪ B)? 

1) First, find the P(A ∩ B). 

P(A ∩ B) = P(A) x P(B) 

P(A ∩ B) = 1/4 x 1/4 = 1/16

2) Now that we know what the intersection is, we can find P(A ∪ B).

P(A ∪ B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A ∩ B)

P(A ∪ B) = 1/4 + 1/4 - 1/16 = 7/16

 The Answer:

P(A ∪ B) = 7/16

 

KTUH 90.3 FM Playlist for 12/9/11

This week on KTUH I learned to make sure that the phone line is potted down on the board before answering the phone! Carlo from Ecuador was listening, but tuned out because I overlapped a song and phone call. OMG, I'm an idiot. *headdesk* Worse still, I may have done that twice during the show. Meh.

I have confirmed listeners in Pennsylvania, and Montana as well as Ecuador! Hooray!

Well, technical difficulties aside, it was smooth sailing throug a good show a good show filled with juicy new stuff and tasty old school nuggets of chunky, groovin' goodness.
